is sayign the ref last night was as bad as the one Chelsea had v Barca. Absolute *******s, he disallowed a perfectly good Madrid goal & the Nani sending off whilst harsh is undertstandable when you look at it at full speed.
It makes you realise that the football world in this country revolves around man u :puke:

I am also reliably informed by a close friend that worked in sport at the guardian thar he is a man u fan. However regardless of who he supports to compare last night with the Chelsea ref is just plain wrong.

People working for national newspapers generally cover football clubs they don't support and finally, the fact that he is a Nottingham Forest supporter generally backs up the argument that he he is Nottingham Forest supporter.

Can't find the reference to Chelsea you mention but this is hardly a outraged attack on the referee from his match report:

Ferguson was so aggrieved by Nani's dismissal he practically shoved United's kit-man out of the way in his fury to get from the dugout to the touchline. Yet it is not entirely plausible to argue, as Phelan did, that it was the worst decision he had ever witnessed. A referee might respond that a player is asking for trouble by connecting with an opponent's midriff. Nani's boot was definitely raised with painful consequences, accidental or not. That said, there was still palpable shock when the red card was brandished.

have had penalty, Madrid should have had a pen and Rafael sent off

Very, very funny though, especially for it to happen at Old Trafford

Hence I don't understand the need to moan about the reaction - quite frankly it is all hilarious
