anyway, I was informed by O2 that these people get your number when you attempt to download a ringtone which I never had

I have googled it and it happens to a lot of people and the only way to stop them is to reply with the word STOP

O2 have now given me a credit of £7.50 for the 3 messages I had received

just wanted people to know if it happens to them

the question is why haven't they stopped it? What are the messages about anyway? Is it the old "hi sexy, wanna chat, i'm lonely?" or a more sophisticated "let's go cottaging round Eltham" ?
