what the f**k does this clown do to warrant 7m a year apart from the obvious which is turning the club into the butt of all jokes?

Same lame old excuses. And as you say...he get's £7.5M per year.
The whole world and his dog knows what is wrong - we have a problem with our defence - so for fcuk sake sort it out.

what does he do to earn that £14.3m a year exactly?

It's like he gets paid £17.9m to do nothing :bakebread:

In the 2nd half they had more clear cut chances than us.

Wenger is lost up his own arsehole :banghead:

Whatever to suite your agenda so go ahead.
I've always gone for 7m-7.5m in my anti wenger rants.

But not sure I believe it tbh.

Would imagine Mancini is well looked after also. Then there woudl be the bonus he got last year.

Yaya that is.

The sensationalist reporting on YYT's salary when he joined City was exposed as being lies as it was calculated on the basis of every bonus being reached etc.

hardly any managers have been able to finish above his Arsenal teams. Pretty impressive

like Arsenal. Which then is the excuse to make light of humiliating CL exits and loses in domestic cups to teams of far lesser resources than AFC. In addition the so called 4th place trophy is used to shield him from any "board" critisism of poor tactical organisation and season after season of refusal, or inabilty, to strenghen in key areas. One of which went serveral seasons being non addressed was the Almunia conundrum. The great Wenger myth is our very own version of the emporers clothes.

utter bull**** hype from manager and board. Arsenal football club was always respected and not the joke it has become now. football back then was, to use a cliche, a different ball game.

They are employed to keep us happy. If they fail, we can vote with our voices and our feet. Why do you object to them performing one of their most crucial job requirements?

Ultimately their job is to keep their customers happy. Sometimes this involves emphasising the positives and ignoring the negatives, and other times it involves outright lying.

As much about controlling the media, as the fans.

So its down to if you follow an investment bank or a football team. Well done the board.

Arsenal is more akin to a disgruntled customer than someone with an emotional investment.

Your attitude seems to boil down to: I pay top dollar so I want top product. Customer, see?

I do understand that the club have been compicit in turning fans into customers, but you should acknowledge that you are one, rather than maintaining the pretense that you are still a fan.

Unheard of in football. ever. No really, ever. lets all worship Wenger and not want for anything else other than 4th place and 120m in the bank Rodders. really.

he'll be very angry about it, and demand compensation and someone's head on a block.

But a fan understands that football doesn't work like that.

We both, ideally, want more than we currently get. You'd quite like to gamble on a new manager to try to get us there. I'd rather stick with the current guy, who happens to have presided over the the most successful period in the club's history.

The only confusion is why you would be quite so vitriolic against the guy. It's not as if he's got us relegated. In fact, in your words, he's managed to get us "so close" to challenging the richest clubs in the world for the major trophies. So the vitriol does come across as that of disgruntled customer who wants his money's worth and if he doesn't get it, wants someone's head on a block, regardless of all the various extenuating factors involved in creating a successful football club.

whilst overseeing the financially debilitating move to a 300 million stadium amid a global financial crisis and the emergence of two clubs bankrolled by billionaires is why he remains in credit.

I think we both agree that in recent years we could have achieved more. The difference is that, because we haven't, this makes the man who has presided over all of the above, a man deserving of hate filled contempt, whilst i just think it's a bit of a shame.

Oh and the Fairs Cup in 1970. Oh those terrible seventies.

Mid seventies position was dire but other than that a 2nd 3rd 4th 5 th and 8th plus the title win.

Ambling as now really but without the trophies.
