RvP had decided to go with one year left on his contract

To force him to stay, you not only lose out on £24m but you also have an unhappy player on your hands for a season who will not commit himself to the club and be more concerned about being injured

RVP was happy to go to Italy or Spain.

Wenger sold him to Man U.

It was a schoolboy error.

Thankfully, Wenger wont be here next season to make more mistakes.

It's okay giving the likes of denilson, dourouc bendtnrt, arshavin, High wages but not giving top players add the way they deserve. Complete Waste of money and resources that are scarce. If we had RVP we could have been challenging and then kept him on high wages, for next season. Instead we pay the rubbish players massive amount of money. We can't even get rid of them
