not give up on this year champions league. 13 days time we got big job to do in munich. we have ten days after spurs to get ready for that :fight:

but we still got a chance in munich and dortumund in second half showed that you can get at bayern defence.

You're not a complete mental.

Anyway, us getting at the Bayern defence is not necessarily the issue as I am sure you will appreciate. It is the 1-2 goals we concede in the opening 30 minutes that will be annoying.

1 goal wouldn't make too much difference to the task in hand.

still take it to extra time. if it finishes 4-2 we go through.

personally think if we get good start and get early goal its game on.

modd
02-28-2013, 11:58 AM
which will suit us. if we score four i think we go through to be honest.

modd

whether they score or not. if we get off to quick start then they will be nervious in same way chelsea were when liverpool went 2-0 up second leg in 2009 in first half.

Our away form at this stage in Europe coupled with their home form would suggest a 4-2 away win to be a very likely outcome.

after losing at home 2-0, so we shown we can hurt teams in germany on the break.

My suggestion being that if they get 1 early they are quite likely to press on and increase that.

An early goal for us changes the tie, no doubt about that. I suspect Bayern will be fully aware of this.

Anyway, much much much more important game to deal with before the trip to Bavaria.

modd

more nervious. i expect them to sit deep against us but we can play at high tempo pace early on then their be worried.

anyway your right. we have ten days worth of bulid up for big showdown in munich. got massive on on sunday against the scum to worry about first.

They can't improve anymore. That's their absolute limit.

Whereas with us you know there's loads of scope for improvement.

So that's 1 thing we have on our side...whether its this game we'll just have to find out....probably not but at least its something to hang onto.

Also it will be interesting to see what Arsene and the players leart from the first game. Quite clearly the decision to leave out Giroud proved a mistake as Walcott was incredibly isolated and we got the ball he lacked the skills of a Maradona to take on 2 to 3 Bayern defenders on his own. Gioud with his strength might prove better as a target to build from for our attacking play.

I would mention gambling on 3 at the back with someone further forward but I've probably bored everyone by now on how the 3-1-3-3 beats the 4-2-3-1 any day of the week.

I see no reason why we can't overturn what is ultimately a meagre deficit.

dortumund the second half. dortumund just lacked a cutting edge in final thrid but still created chances and missed a sitter at the end.

by the hordes of fans. Actually ended up at the Allianz as it was impossible to get off the train. Hugely impressed with the boxes and bags of empty beer bottles left at the station, relatively neatly. Can't imagine that happening at home

yes we needed one less goal but in sense we had nothing to lose and we did it. We showed in those first 20 mins of second half vs munich we can hurt them at the back.

3-0, 3-1 or 4-2 or 4-1. if we play the well we can do.

modd

yet we were 3-0 by half time and if van persie had scored 4th we probally gone on to knock them out. so anything possible in munich.

could of gone through. point is 3-0 scoreline we had at half time would have been enough in munich this time to put us through.

so unlike last year, we got a better chance to turn this around as we have to score less goals to go through then last year. :-)

we improved going forward from last year. so have more all round attacking options with oliver, louis, santi and jack back. bayern were better team first leg but tie is still very much on and i think we can do it. Whats their to lose.
