I wonder how much comment there would have been, had this been released during the transfer window. If only that were possible :hehe:

We chose to. As Wenger said, it was for footballing reasons. He didn't want to play for us anymore and we got a very good price for him, under the circumstances of his contract situation. It has little to do with the stadium too.

can comfortably break even but certainly can't afford to match anywhere near United, Chelsea, City, Liverpool or even Spurs in terms of spending power.

We also made a bit less compared to the previous period as we had 4 less home games (so £3million ish per game in revenue).

But the point is, unless we sell our most valuable assets, we can only expect about a £15million profit every six months.

This will fall to a loss next if we do not qualify for the Champions League. And that is why 4th place is far, far more important than winning the FA Cup etc.

Plus, if that was the case we wouldn't have Podolski, Giroud and maybe even Cazorla.

lost out on a fair bit of cash this way. These are now being renewed for more like the current market prices which are massive in comparison so turnover will rise big time now. They still wont spend it of course :hehe:

Have a day off. We pay 40m more in wages then spurs per year for a team trying desperately to hang onto their coat tails. I look forward to you showing me they spend 40m net more then us in transfer fees pa.

The resources we do have are distributed horribly - our wage structure prevents us signing anything better then 'decent' players and its not because we don't have the money to spend on wages. I'm sure you know all this but choose to ignore it in favour of dear leader and chimp Gazidis' "well run club" tripe.

When we finally fall off the CL gravy train and can find nobody to take our overpaid, long-term contract dross we'll see just how well run we are.
