However Fat Sam being the f**king useless c**t that he is really handed the vermin the upper hand with his substitutions. Two players of confernece league standards came on to replece players who were doing an effective job. well done you Fat c**t.

He didn't make a single tackle, didn't receive the ball or anything. Terrible

Carroll was OK as a beanpole to flick the ball on or using his strength to shield it occasionally, but there is no way in a million miles that he is a 35m quid striker. I wouldn't pay more than 6 for him

Yet the ex Bolton wonder manager chooses to bring on a fb not considered good enough for Middlesboros championship squad 3 years ago and is just a pub player now at best.

no cohesion, no movement....4-2-3-1 is a unworkable if you can't keep possession. British teams lack the European nouse required to execute the formation.

West Ham should've made it 3-1 when the JC was put through 1 v 1. Very poor defending of the diagonal run...if you can call it that....JC just walked right past the defender and the offside trap.

Also had a couple decent chances to make 3-2 before Bale scored the winner.

Saturdays game will be interesting....Wenger should free up Wilshere from the start and got 4-1-4-1 rather than 4-2-3-1. Leaves us vulnerable to the counter but that was going to happen anyway so at least with Wilshere further forward we can out number and swamp their Dumbele-Parker partnership.

That's where the battle will be won...can we break down Parker and Dumbele.

Dembele, Holtby and Parker are essentially the same player, in descending order of ability. Lennon really is terrible and so Bale is pretty much carrying them

Defensively they look as shambolic as we do but that high line is just asking for trouble against us

Chamakh would have done better than that in the last 20 minutes

And Lloris is excellent. There's not much depth there, they were bringing on a 20 year old kid with 2 games last night. First 11 is strong though

It took a fair bit of Bale brilliance and the scrappiest goal of the season to get past a very poor West Ham side

They would be far worse off without him than we have been without van Perise imo.
