with everyone fit, Ramsey is a starter in a big game, we can never be contenders. The heart of our engine will be a weak one. Arteta and jack are good enough for this level. but Arteta/Ramsey? It means Ramsey was our Schweitzeiger yesterday.

We also now know that Arsene actually thinks Giroud is not good enough upfront. Let's face it: Theo alone as the main man may work one day (I doubt it, but in time, who knows), but it is definitively not a viable option today.

Santi who was supposed to be on the right wing played mostly in the middle, which means Sagna had no partner on the flank. Pod is better at tracking back, but nowhere near as industrious as the wingers were for Bayern.

We have good and in three or four cases (jack, Santi, Mikel, Podolski, and even Theo) great players. We need to surround them with other players who will put them in the best position to finish their hard work (top class CF), defend the goals they will inevitably create (top class CB to play with kos), and we need to swallow our pride and pay top money for our verison of Javi martinez, to help give density to our midfield.

Not an impossible task...

However, I suspect he will start every remaining game this season.

that he chose Walcott up top on his own was a huge mistake imvho

So: keep everyone, and add Berkovic, Hummels, Wanyama, and Cavani. (Will ever happen, I know...)

get at their two centrebacks was to use Theo's pace against them. Alas, we never got the ball to do so. The pundits and ultimately Arsene called it wrong

His reply was that that was all *******s; my bowlers want to play every single game and, as professionals, they will adapt and take their wickets just the same.

Wenger OUT!

attract top talent when we're not inthe CL. Which, as Wenger pointed out, is very difficult.

Furthermore, would you, as Kroenke, give the Big Spend to Arsene in his last year, or would you instead buy Wenger out of the last year and bring in someone new who is then allowed the money to create his own team?

I know we brought 3 players in last year, but wenger, as you note, doesn't rate one of them too highly, plus we lost RvP, so we netted a loss in transfers.

I don't mind self-sustaining, in fact I admire it, but I want 100% commitment to win by the Board on down. It is unfair blaming Wenger or the players when the board doesn't try.

Begovic - £10m fee, £60k a week - £22.5m deal over 4 years,
Hummels - £18m fee, £75k a week - £34m over 4 years
Wanyama - £10m fee, £50k a week - £20m
Cavani - £25m fee, £80k a week - £42m

Even with off-setting some of the wages by selling/not renewing contracts, that's an awful lot of cash....more than the £70 WARCHEST

gave enough indication about whether Walcott should play there, in the short term. Playing him there ahead of Giroud must have said something?

in all those games that Walcott played up top, we struggled to get the ball to him. Why was yesterday going to be any different? Wigan and Southampton, most of the Newcastle game, even parts of the Reading game.

and Walcott up front rather than playing Giroud there consistently.

And don't try to tell me it was tactical, as I am well informed by people who like to forget the second leg vs. Barcelona that Wenger doesn't DO tactics.

The Gervinho thing was while Giroud was settling in - he is one option, the Walcott pace the other

hell he should be our next manager. No other way I can see for him to improve his £2M a year wages :-)

Do you concede that you know more than PHW?
