View Full Version : Whoever takes over will not have the luxury Wenger had

Ok, so the team had stagnated to a certain extent at the end of George's rein, and their league form was especially poor, but they had hardly lost the winning habit for any length of time in cup competitions.

And - as been mentioned countless times - when Wenger took over he found that George had beqeuathed the fabulous keeper and back four (five including Bouldie) while Brucie Rioch chipped in with one Dennis Bergkamp. What will the poor guy who takes over from Arsene inherit? Jack, if he stays, Young Master Theo with delusions of being the next Thierry, and, er, well...back to the drawing board otherwise.

So whoever comes in, however good they are, they will need to be patient and they will be entitled to expect patience in return to revolutionise this squad and this team. It will be Wenger's legacy, sadly. It could have been so different had he gone three or four years ago.

Wtf is that supposed to mean- losing once in each cup competition each year?

... someone like Maureen. A manager that would make the current players feel a foot taller and a yard faster as well as being able to add credibility to our new 'project' and lure top talent that otherwise might doubt our current status.

If we go for someone like Moyes, we might be looking at two or three years of development before challenging seriously again.

I don't literally mean Moyes, but that type of manager, at that level.

Will we be able to get a Klopp. Will he even want to come to us? What else is there further a field.

We got Wenger because of Dein. Kronke, PHW, Gazidis know f**k all about anything football related. Even modd would do a better job of appointing the next manager over any of those 3 :hehe: This is probably why Wenger will stay and be offered a new contract.

that it will happen... It would be like re-appointing Bruce Rioch.

What does Stanford know about Cricket?

Perhaps I should have been clearer about what I meant

game? What did Dein know about running the game - or more precisely why do you think he knew something and Gazidis knows nothing?

Gazidis was by all accounts a decent player as well.

I'd have thought the modd reference was a give away :-)
