Football being an emotive animal doesn't particularly respond too well to having it's problems interlectualised, know matter how balanced and reasoned the argument.
For many, the litmus test is measured only by success or a progressive building exercise.
Most will take the view that you can't teach an old dog new tricks and therefore it's better to tear up the rule book and begin again.
Stickers and ill thought out mass chanting are all part of the protest movement for many.
