he sticks rigidly though to his pre-planed 70 minute substitutions even when it's obvious that everything is going pearshaped, this stubbornness doesn't help things - and he was at it again tonight against the Hun,who looked a bit rattled for twenty minutes after we scored . Why can't Polodolski play 90minutes?
Obviously they were a far better side than us,missing out on the next round of the FAC is now looking even worse.
Wenger's Drinking in the last chance saloon now with just 4th place to play for and the hated spuds balefully awaiting him .

i know the world is made of ifs and buts...but...supposing the manager had decided to start those 3 on saturday...then you go in 2-0 at half time...rest them the second 45 and go into your CL game on the back of a win

been drinking dont know if im agreeing or disagreeing with you

but yeah 70 min subs are **** imdo

and a full strength side against Bradford. Potentially, we could have been in one final and been set for a run in the FA Cup.
We're out of our depth in the CL and most knew we wouldn't come through against Bayern.
Wenger could have removed a lot of pressure by changing his objectives this season. It looks like things could get pretty ugly for him for the remainder of the season.
Poor results V Spurs and Everton and he'll be in for a real backlash from fans and media.

We only had to score one goal and they would have fallen apart.
The longer the game goes on the harder it then becomes to score, and of course it only takes one cock-up and you are a goal down instead of being one or more up.

Most realistically did not expect us to win the tie anyway.
As you point out though it will be a different story with league games if below par results are produced, especially if they benefit AVB's spuds .
