He said in the statement he was on the balcony and without his prostetic legs. So how did he get his gun and how did he aim so straight.

Forensics should give us a clue...line up the bullets through the door to determine height and point of entry.

Would be in some bother if he actually stopped to put his legs on then get his gun and then shoot the supposed intruder. That must take like 5-10 minutes right there.
