firstly gutted still about the result. even without likes of luis, theo, jack, sandi and sagna we should have still had enough out their to be a very average blackburn team. Ok it was amazing lucky win for them but still these things can still be avoided if your on it from the get go

i still don,t get why we start games so slowly. It allows weaker teams against us to get into the game. Yes our second halfs are usually magnificent but we should not always rely on them to get us out of trouble.

Still game gone now and we recovered from bad results like this before to do well for rest of the season.
In 2006 lost to bolton in fa cup and then beat real madrid and juventus in the champions league
same in 2011. Lost to brum in league cup final but beat barcelona at home and nearly knocked them out
in 2012 we lost to sunderland in fa cup and then beat ac at home 3-0.

i think we can beat bayern on tuesday night . for me their not tested in germany and with defenders like dante and van byten their very gettable. If we on it from get go we can win well on tueday. Also if we focused like at sunderland we can keep a clean sheet.

interview with fans after game. It had mix of those who were going way over the top talking like the world was over and arsene should be sacked to those who were saying lots to play for.

look people had right to be pissed off about saturday. it was not good enough. But We never boring at this club. When people write off the team they come back and show what they made off.

when we lost to bradford 1-0 , the next game we scored five against reading.

Can,t wait for tuesday man. Bring the germans on. :fight:

If the crux of your belief or argument is that they are not tested in Germany then I am afraid that is quite ridiculous.

They’re walking away with their domestic league, unbeaten since the Xmas break but that is equally as much down to them being a very good football team as it is to do with the comparative qualities of the Bundesliga. There are some very good sides in Germany all the same, it is one of the top 3-4 leagues in Europe.

Then there is the ‘pedigree’ of the side, the perceived quality on paper of individuals such as Neuer, Lahm, Badstuber, Shweinsteiger, Ribery, Kroos, Maddzukic. You could put any one of these players head to head with his Arsenal equivalent and argue a case for them.

I’m sure you have watched them in CL or on Eurosport and know the above.

Of course we have a chance, it’s football after all. We could pull one out of the bag and pretend the world is a rosey place. Idiots will then swing into action about how we will win the thing. Then we will go out in two weeks and maybe even lose to Spurs.

look i agree. Bayern are a top side in very good league. But their defence in my view has not been tested in same way as it is in europe.

Bate beat them 1-0 in group stages, they struggled to break down ten man valencia 1-1.

Like you said , we can beat them. But if we do then no harm enjoying it. Does not mean it will end their either.

In 2006 we beat real and then juventus and then got to the final where we nearly held of with ten men against barca.

So anything possible mate. Stay postive because clubs like liverpool and the russians have been down and our and go to win big ears.

You could put him head to head with Squillaci and not necessarily notice the difference. Sadly he is injured though. I think Neuer is over-rated as well.

There is a point about them not being tested - even Bayern fans have admitted this. Last couple of games I have watched the opposition barely turned up. We are going to get battered though - maybe not at the Emirates but over two legs

dante is poor full back and their missing top defender in bolatang.

I don,t we get battered over two legs. barca and ac only knocked out by one goal over two legs . It be probally close battle over two legs.

going to be epic mate.

lahm their best defender by long way but rest are very average and can be got at big time. the question is can we defend to.

i think both matches will be very open. they like to attack and so we will.

Sides beaten before they started the game etc.

Most sides were beaten when they stood in the tunnel beside teams like 2002 and the Invincibles, didn't mean we weren't tested.

Modd's point just appeared to be simply that they are not tested domestically which is simplistic at best and overlooks the fact that they're a top level side. Most pundits second choice to win the whole thing in fact.

said we can beat them. So lets see how things pan out over rest of the season.

said their worried about not being tested enough. I am not saying their not a really good side . They are and one of best in europe. But they can be beaten as was shown last year by chelsea and inter the year before.

their performance against us at the Emirates was way, way above their level in the Bundyleague. The really do look mediocre, bit like us really.

as they have a habit of doing. They are shocking at the moment and sacked their manager in December

let in 7 goals in group stages. Same amount we let in group stages.

they lost 3-1 away in bate and struggled beat 10 valencea away and only beat them 2-1 at home.

so it be close battle over two legs. anyone think it be walkover for them is living in cloud magic land

they lost plot last few months. sold of one their better players to spurs and sacked a manager that won them champions league group. so reason for their issues. but i am not dissing german league. i watch it on espn and its a high quality league.
