It's sad to see him standing there watching his team losing or struggling against teams like Blackburn, Bradford, Reading, WBA, Swansea, Fulham, Norwich, Brighton

It feels a bit like he can't turn it all around now

I'm still firmly AKB, but starting to think that he'll go.

has largely squeezed the last vestiges of interest out of the sport for me. Can't remember the last time I watched any football.

Cricket still has its dignity left (if you ignore the Indian fans and the IPL)

This would also mean I can completely forget about supporting a football club.

on Tuesday. He seems to know a thing or two. And maybe he will bring Uli with him

He still has time to get us into the top four, which is esentially us keeping our heads above water for another season, and then we can progress from there.

You can make a case for why there are problems, whether that's who we are competing with, the stadium move impacting longer than necessary etc.

(a feat roughly equivalent to losing against lower league opposition in football) and the give-a-f**k-ometer barely flickered.

Obiously football no longer matters to you, and fair enough, but in a bizzare way I'm taking some solace in the fact that I do at least still care enough about the FA Cup that I feel just as **** as I ever have about getting dumped out of it. It is, after all, the only real trophy we have any chance of winning.

I agree about football though, I watch it out of an odd sense of masochistic duty. I feel like an abused wife lying back and thinking of england whilst I try to ignore this sweating oaf above me thrusting away

Even if there may be some justification for both.

offered him a massive payrise to move. Now times are "bad", people should treat him with a bit more respect imo

still, there are worse acts of masochism, like listening to Billy Bragg
