I have got to agree with him 100%, it just seems bizarre that the media are trying to find an angle when their clearly isn't one. We are consistently above 55,000 people at the game (contrast this with the 25-30,000 that turned up during the 80s). Without doubt it is taking longer to sell out tickets (just look at how often tickets are on sale to red members or general sale even just a few days before several games this year) but the reality is that people still turn up.

For all the dissatistisfaction with the direction with the club and its direction, we still have real supporters not just the fair weather type that typify for example our west london colleagues.

A further contrast is that man city don't even sell out every home game and their ground is only about 40 odd thousand capacity.

I also go away to a lot of games and we rarely fail to sell out our allocation. So the media can go F*ck themselves as we are still among the best supported teams in the country.....Fact !
If only most of the buggers could just stay for a few more minutes at the end of the game and leave at final whistle !!!!!!
