View Full Version : How people can still claim Rooney to be a world class player after that performance is beyond me

when he is playing out of position. He did have a stinker though

He turned from being a player who was a potential great into a player who was just really, really good.

I still hate the face-roughly-carved-into-a-potato looking c**t though.

Long overdue

Evans, Jones, Carrick and Rafael looked incredibly ordinary. Ferdinand looked surprisingly assured on this occasion, Rooney and Kagawa had stinkers.
RvP looked a class apart with the exception of that miss.

and yet they ground out a draw against a vastly superior outfit on the night and sit 10pts clear at the top of the league.

How does that c**t Ferguson manage it :headwand:

most of the shots that De Gea had to save were relatively easy ones from distance. Too often Real players were isolated in attack (Where the f**k was Benzema supposed to be playing - he was shocking as well). United had decent chances as well - at least three for RvP and Wellbeck had another good one. Very strange set up for United though - effectively 5 defenders 4 forwards and Carrick. I actually think Evans had a very good game - certainly not ordinary

but never produces the great performances. Always does it against us though :-(

and that was a blatant shove and penalty by Jones but would definitely say that 2nd half was a bit more even, just RM should have been 3 or 4 up at H-T

As you say, they should have been out of sight by the end of the first half. United must have had all 11 players camped in their penalty box at times.
Still fancy RM for the return, hopefully United will make more of a game in the home tie and leave bigger gaps at the back for Ronaldo to exploit and score a hatfull

find too many gaps to exploit.

Madrid have to make the running as they have to score. I can see ManU sitting back in a similar way waiting for the opportunity to counter.

they really didn't create much let alone enough to be out of sight

Of the very best. Still a very, very, very good player.

His job isnt made any easier by having van persie around at united and being surrounded by mediocrity with england (apart from jack and theo, obviously)

Jack is exactly the sort of player rooney needs near him.

the onus is on utd at home playing for 0-0 is a dodgy strategy, with porto after united went ahead on away goals at OT porto didn't go forward because of the counter threat.
