View Full Version : Every single time that Robin scores a goal the usual suspects queue up to trot out exactly the same

thing, completely ignoring all the arguments that are made against them.

I understand the disappointment about there being richer and more powerful clubs in the world that Arsenal, but I don't understand why they cannot eventually accept this. It is becoming rather boring now, what with them having had six months to get over it and move on.

These very same people would be moaning that we allowed him to leave on a free.

Because it bloody hurts Ash.

Makes it even worse cause we sold to them. I actually despise the c**ts.

to be honest.

Abuse for suggesting that the club may not be heading in a direction that they were entirely happy with.

Under these circumstances "move on" tends to mean "I have no intention of admitting they may have had a point."

I suppose a massive outpouring of "f**k me, it IS all about profits after all" is a bit much to expect, but it would have been nice.

I despise Utd too. It's impossible to want them to beat Everton here, even though it might be in our interests. :-(

a blind bit of difference to me whether the club got £24M £240M or 24 tracksuits with "Veron" on the back from the Utd club shop.

As a fan the sale of van Persie has not benefited me one iota. It's made the team weaker, and the money accured has not been used to buy a replacement.

My season ticket has not been reduced in price, and the beer is still £4 a go in the stadium and is now sold as plastic Carlsberg bottles.

Had RvP stayed and gone on a free in the summer, the situation would be exactly the same except the team would have been better for another season.

Not me. I would have preferred that option.

Were we really desperate for their money.?

especially as he would have, probably, only scored a handful of goals and have had a few injuries and a few half hearted displays

and the nasty Carlsberg bottles were an interim thing, as pints are back on the menu but if there's one area where I would sharply criticise the club it is the catering (no-one behing the bar seems to know what a pint of bitter is) but it isn't too hard to arrange for most of the drinking to be done outside the stadium.

and that is that "the team would have been better for another season". the assumption being that RvP would have played to the same standard as he did last season, or that he is doing for manure. The reality is that he would have given us some half hearted performances and he probably would have had a few muscle strains.

about richer clubs preventing Wenger from winning anything rather tiresome and stupid.
What's any of that got to do with losing a cup final to Birmingham and struggling to get 4th place against teams with 40m less wage bills than our one?

free flowing football, and losing. At the end of the day, the fans are happiest when their team is winning.

The game's the thing, not the winning.

a fan is most happy when his team wins, not when his team loses. The hope of winning, or the hope of being better is what brings fans in.
