It seems to me that F4J mainly whinge about having to pay for their child. The courts' responsibilty is entirely for the well-being of the children. If you didn't want to pay for children, then you should have kept your dick in your trousers.

Courts work on the basis that younger children are usually better off with their mother and older boys with their father.

So gender is relevant.
