But this is existential for him - for the past 30 years Conservatives won everything and always got their way. Now he's not only facing a terrible defeat, but prognosis of a future of it. You can see it in his posts at the end. "fine you win but the next ten years are all on you" sort of thing.

This had little to do with AWIMB imo. He'll realize things aren't changing all that much and come back.

Hopefully a calmer person but I'm not holding my breath.
