Michel Bastos at Lyon would have been the perfect stop-gap - a quality left winger who's better at LB than Sanos (who isn't?).., Unfortunately he joined Schalke today.

If Wenger really wants to splash some cash he could try to tempt Real Madrid into selling either Marcelo or, more likely, Fabio Coentrão. Anyone fancy spending 15m on a full-back?
