any rights and perks available to full-time workers, but is it ok to discriminate against contract labour - assuming it is regular and long term?

I'm being repressed, and I want to know if this is legal.

Though as a general rule discrimination of any sort is frowned upon.

But it is legal in Holland.

I'm a contract worker as well, mostly on long term contracts, and I have fewer rights than my part-time and full-time colleagues.

Effectively you are self employed, right? So Nobody has to give you paid holiday leave, as a company would to a worker, full time/part time or temporary contract on their payroll. It is not as though you hirer a builder to do your extension and you have to give him a week off paid to go to Kavos during the middle of the job, is it?

contract staff that fall under awr are supposed to have similar perks too. Those contractors that have their own ltd company and/or who are outside awr can be given anything or nothing. Most of them will want to have no perks, to avoid falling inside ir35.

and the initial contract deal. EG holidays. These can be in the original contract and no comparison but for sickness pay you have to have the same terms after you have been there a while. Cannot remember how long but it does apply.

You should make 'perks' pro-rata but say asking for a part time worker to work the same number of hours as a full-timer until premium overtime rates are payable is fair enough (ie not being more favourable to part timers)
