View Full Version : What struck me most about last night was the relentless effort each player put in

Closing down players every time. Shame about the injury as that killed our momentum a little bit

that missing confidence and the rest will come naturally, including wins against the top teams
As they played away to City and Liverpool earlier in the season
amount of time our players had at certain stages.
If that was against United, City or Chelsea they'd have so much less time, people's runs would be tracked better and we'd have much less of the ball because they keep it so well.
It's not hard to play well against **** teams.

That's what's so frustrating you never know which team will turn up.
exceptionally well but no team plays exceptionally well all the time. You just have to make sure your average level is enough to get you sufficient points to attain your targeted leage position.

the best team he played against this season
We can play the best football against anyone but in recent months we played with no confidence and therefore had impact in the way we played e.g. hardly any movement off the ball which is normally our strength
I am hoping for more of last night to being that confidence back and winning mentality follows

midfield was just passing the ball about as Cazrola, Podolski dropped deep and Walcott hid. Second half Podolski in particular made runs, with Ramsay taking a deeped position. Ramsay should be really pleased with his second half. Perhaps he has finally turned the corner and is feeling confortable in a particular position.

of position
How good would John Terry be if he plays at full back?

for Wales he plays in the attacking position, but tbh he is too slow for that. Playing in the middle with Wilshere still puts us short of a proper ballwinner, but on the other hand them together can achieve alot.
Still would prefer to see le coq develop in that position though
