I will be honest, not being a regular watcher of WHU matches I don’t really know much about the lad save for the fact he scored a nice goal against us earlier in the season. A goal which could have been defended better all the same.

I am aware however that he has a £3.5m release clause which then makes things more clear.

It's a mindset thing I think, they like to spend, are willing to spend, sometimes over the top of what they may have as a valuation.

They did it with van Persie I believe having lost out on Nasri the previous summer and regretted it.
