if there is a studio audience fair enough though more american style.
but who is it the director who decides that certain bits are funnier than other bits. It's strange really.
Could it work other ways. Maybe in horror have a load of people screaming.
I assume it came from original recordings having audiences and once they changed this to locations they thought it was a good idea to pretend to be an audience.
Then again. To Hull and Back only fools and horses episode. it's movie style and without the laughter track. and it seemed less funny. Though I am sure i've seen it on tv with a laughter track.
