Say Wenger decides not to renew his contract, or the club decides for a change, how attractive is the club really for top managers around the world?

Pros:

- A board that has a history in recent times to support their managers. A new man will probably be given time.

- One of the big clubs in English football, both historically and arguably at present.

- Solid financial footing

- Good facilities

- Based in London

Cons:

- Outgunned financially compared to City, Chelsea and Man United.

- Potential difficulties with taking over after a manager that will be iconic in the club's history

-----------------------

All said and done I think we still qualifies as an attractive proposition for top managers around the world.

Aside from the fact we're skint it would be José's dream job

Fortunes have always been cyclic. You can't use a dip in form as an argument against the appeal of the club.

The 29m more that they spend on wages,is not as great as the 40m differentials between us and spuds/Everton.
With a restructuring of our wage policy and a bigger investment in our squad, quality wise, we should be able to hold onto players like RVP. If we had kept him and with the new signings made last summer, then I think we would be doing a lot better than we are.
Wenger introduced the 'socialist' wage policy ,so he must carry the can for its failure.

I made the point last week. Likeit or not, they only really have two world class players in RvP and Rooney.
It can be debated but the rest aren't significantly better than what we have at our set up.

In terms of spend. They average about 50k per season to our 30-35k.

The difference in mentality and culture is f**king immense. Which is why they continue to mix it with the other two and we continue to tread water.

That may be over simplistic but it didn't seem that long a go when Wenger was bragging to the press about a shift in power.

As long as people forget about the fanciful choices like Mourinho and Guardiola we're fine.

Post cancer Tito might be interesting though.

Aren't United the richest club in the World? Certainly far, far wealthier than us and a huge fanbase, if FFP were to be done properly, they would still be streets ahead of us......oh and Vidic is top drawer

It pains me to say it but Spurs were bloody unlucky not to get a result against them yesterday, but even if United had lost, your money would be straight back on them to win the next game.

You can't help thinking where they'd have been this season without RvP.
