He goes on yesterday about how this team has "fantastic quality and spirit" but when the f**k have they shown it? He went on to pretty much blame the ref for the loss.

He just loses more credibility by the day. All he does is spout bull**** to the press and its borderline insulting.

I think AW believes half the **** he says like this team has "fantastic quality". This is the least quality team AW may have ever had. And you can't really argue with that assessment.

against some of the more volatile abuse he receives, and also to keep things in perspective. If you d didn't know any results from recent seasons, I think you'd be surprised to learn we've not finished midtable each year, based on the level of abuse. Surely you would agree that those of us who still defend him at least provide a useful counterweight? Afterall, even you've admitted we've pretty much achieved what we should have done recently, which is in stark contrast to the abuse you dish out.

He chose to build this team like it is. He chose to sell his best players. He chose the players to sign that haven't worked out. He chose to say he'd rather finish 4th than win a trophy. He wet his bed, so he can lie in it. You act like there is some witch hunt for AW for no good reason. We have been going in a downward trajectory for 8 years.

We could/should have won the title in 2008.Not far away from it in 2010.

"He chose to build this team like it is."

Yes, a team that is fighting for fourth spot, with the higher spots monopolised by much richer clubs.

"He chose to sell his best players."

You think he'd have sold them if they wanted to stay and weren't coveted by aforementioned much, much richer clubs?

"He chose to say he'd rather finish 4th than win a trophy."

As would any club in the world

"We have been going in a downward trajectory for 8 years."

Yes, all the way down to the murky depths of, err, third (as of last season).

However, the rest of the dregs are evenly distributed amongst other clubs, other sports, and all other walks of life.

The real dregs of humanity congregate to comment on Youtube.

He's paid 7m a year. His judgement has gone. What he did pre Emirates was legendary but what he done since
has been average. Now it's getting worse. And don't give the resources crap. He's wasted millions on utter garbage and refused to strengthen when necessary. If he wasn't so stubborn his post emirates record should have been much better. One example is keeping Almunia for several seasons when a minor upgrade could have paid dividends. Thanks for the pre emirates Arsene but now please go.

Over-emotional, lacking in perspective, an inability to grasp the finer points - these are some of the attributes required to be a football fan.

As with everything in life...change is a necessity and that is exactly what is needed.
