some of you want people to think you really care,
Change is gonna come, one way or another, so hush the noise, it's getting boring. win lose or draw, moan, moan, moan!
The glory we had under wenger only helped to cover that as a club we've had large periods of ****dom, cos the club was not prepared or able to spend the same sort of money. Wenger was able to bring in players that believed in what he was trying to do, worked hard as a team, and had a collective f**k y'all attitude, players that everyone else thought was passed it, they didn't know about, and they didn't know about Wenger either. Sadly there are not many players with that sort of attitude around these days, and you can thank Bosman, and the Abramowich's of this world for that.
When Bates did the deal with him, I said on here that it was the death of football as we knew it, he'd sold out to the Devil, the money men are in charge these days, and the players are more mercenery than ever.
Since then history will show that every time Wenger goes for a player or there's a sniff that he's going for a player the likes of Chelsea doubled/tripled the bid bought them up. Sometimes just keeping them on the pitch. Manure were still chucking big money at players, and then city came along and the dam was burst open. As a club/team we were vilified by other managers/the media because we dared to do better than anyone expected or possibly hoped. In many respects its a back handed compliment because they were afraid of us.
Now they have the money and can outbid us, now players are more likely to go to the club that will give them the biggest pay day and contract, now we have players that don't know the meaning of hte word loyalty, they are on the up again.
I can see a lot wrong with the way we play at the moment and why it doesn't work, I hate seeing it, it embarresses me the way the team seem not to be able to do the basics. I can also see that the money needed to buy or keep players is never gonna be there, cos the others a basically printing money. I have my views about the psychological impact on young players of things falling apart all the time, especially if they are getting more money then they know what to do with.
But unlike some of you ungrateful, selfish and undeserving c**ts, what I also know is that under Wenger, we've had some of the best years at this club,PERIOD, that no manager before him has given us, even when we've been ****, somehow he's still managed to pull together a team of players that has kept us up in the top tier.
This season I'm expecting us to fall out of the top four for the first time in some 16 years, next season I'm expecting us to not be in the group stage of the CL for the first time EVER under Wenger, I don't like it, but I'm expecting it. If I'm proved wrong I'll be happy. I'm also expecting Wenger to not be at the helm next season, not because a bunch of supporters sit moaning at their computers, but because he knows its time to go.
Change is needed to help us move forward, but I hope when change comes, we sit in the wilderness for a few years, then maybe there will be some respect and appreciation shown.
That's all I have to say on it.
