So Walcott is not just **** now. he's overpaid ****?

Year after year we let valuable players leave the club. Yes Theo may be overrated by some but he's far from useless and he wants to stay. Even if he is somewhat overpaid, so what? Isn't that better than having him leave, have him be effective elsewhere, then replace him with another teenager from some other place who will just ask to leave as soon as he establishes himself?

Part of Rednoses's success is that he has kept most of his best players throughout their primes. This costs money - the kind of money we have been unwilling to spend.

We need a core of players who don't look at the club as a stepping stone to a bigger stage but once they reach a certain level we need to pay them or they will go to other places that will. Wasn't that the whole point of the new ground? (Well, that and letting the club owners rake in profits).
