something they don't like doing.

I don't like putting my hand in a bin and will go out of my way to avoid it. It's silly and irrational but I wouldn't call it a phobia.

Is that beyond the tipping point of merely disliking something to the extent of it actually being a phobia?

What do I think would happen if I was forced to pick one up, say, at gun point? Would I have a heart attack? Almost certainly not. So why have I pathologised it into a "phobia"? Because this allows me an easy get-out clause to shirk dealing with them. How can anyone blame me - it's a phobia, and a common one at that.

But in fact, it's just me avoiding doing something I don't like doing.
