It's an obvious PR sham. Leak this info via a 'reliable' Twitter source - only backed up as reliable by other nobodies on Twitter - and claim we tried to spend big but couldn't quite pull off the deal at the end of the month. Fans appeased. Nothing changes. The team continues to go backwards.

Wenger himself said as much ... and he also pointed out that we have Diaby and Rosicky back... so what's the problem then?
If we beat Chelsea and the result in the spuds and Everton games go our way everyone will as happy as Larry .
A draw could leave us in an invidious position if spuds and Everton get something from their games.

Wenger's been praising him to the heavens for years. Cavani is clearly one of the world's best 10 or 20 players and one of the very few at that truly world-class level not already with a giant club and therefore out of our reach.

Why not blow 30m or 35m on one player? Maybe Wenger sees the sense in that finally instead of just frittering the money away on three or four good(ish), but not great players which has been the strategy for the last few years.

The obstacle to buying a 'superstar' for the last five years has always been wages not transfer fees, but maybe Kroenke and Gazidis have told him to consider making an exception or two for top, top talents as Wenger would put it...

The Gunners boss said it was unlikely that Arsenal would add to their squad in January but it was not because nobody wanted to move to the north London club.
He said: 'We have no problem in players wanting to join us. I'll give you my phone for 24 hours! We can afford 90 per cent of them.
'If you look at our squad, it's quite complete. We still work on the transfer market as well.
'However, we do not want to bring in average. We only want to bring in an exceptional player. At the moment we have not found him.'

not one. Whoever started the 1 player for £30m rumour is out of their mind.

Arsene is in a bigging war with United and QPR for Zaha and M'Vile

That's why Coquelin played last night. He might be leaving in part exchange for M'Vile or even perhaps to QPR if they miss out on M'Ville. All depends.

The two bids are £22m for Zaha and £8m for M'Vile.

WE ARE NOT SIGNING Nurer, Cavani, Neymar, Goezte, Falcao or god knows whoever else. LOL @ cesc.

It's all about the breeder though. Make sure you get one from a good breeder, especially nowadays as they're a bit of a fashion item. This means lots of know-nothing c**ts breed them just to make money and don't care about their health. Meaning you get to spend fortunes at the vets and all the pain and heartache that implies.

Since then I've always been nervous around large or muscular dogs. They often notice this, and therefore want to eat me, which is apparently the natural, healthy thing for a dog to do.
