very good you know' and keep trying to convince me she isn't just a dirty, pikey **** that can draw a bit.

I feel hat someone who garners as much attention as she has really ought to be brilliant.

Your opinions please - except you Floyd. You go and finger your own arse'ole for a while.

I read an interview where she told a story about turning up to a dentist appointment with cum still on her face from the night before. She'd forgotten about it, supposedly. Not sure how like. First thing I do after a load has been dropped is wash my face.

The pieces themselves are generally better the less actual art/craft/talent/skill/application goes into them as they create more of a reaction which builds a buzz.

It's all a terrific joke.

Apart from Jake & Dinos Chapman, two of the brit pack I've actually not met, those chaps are utter, utter geniuses

she gobbled his todger while simultaneously constructing an installation that was exhibited the following month at the Tate. It was titled 'A Mouthful of Mildew'.

Whereas for thousands of years, back beyond the dawn of civilisation in fact, it was about creating a real, visceral and sometimes heartfelt reaction to a piece.

A touch of the divine brought to earth, now it's all about how much something will fetch in Saaaaaachi's next shopping spree due to the buzz it creates.

interesting to look at, however simple and un-technical in composition.

Sorry, I'm a terrible classical snob. I do worry that these people are somehow thinking they are in some sort of direct linear descendancy from Titian, El Greco, Velasquez or Caravaggio.

f**k me, these people arent even fit to clean the ****ters in a proper gallery

Sorry for lumping you in with Floyd and Rich. Fair comment though, tbf. :driving:

otherwise art would always be the same. Every new movement or wave of artists has challenged and provoked. Emin, Gilbert and George, Damien Hirst are no different from the generations that went before them.

And yes, I very rarely talk/read/write or listen to anything involving art. It's stuff best experienced alone.

I spent most of my GCSEs bunking off and going to the National :cloud9:

whereas these guys are just selling you a gimmick which 9 times out of 10 they haven't even made themselves. It may make you THINK about what is art, but it isn't art.

manifestly brilliant, something Emin clearly isn't. Hirst can't even draw the fúckin junkies ******* he is!

Ashberto
01-15-2013, 10:34 PM
Surely he is.

Obviously he can't admit it as there is the 1000/1 chance that Headgear is stalking the board.
