View Full Version : I hope we don't 'reward' Walcott with a ridiculous salary

He's not that good and hasn't done anything to deserve it. Let summer come and if the big three can offer him a huge salary, let him go. Whatever we offer is still a hell of a lot, and if he doesn't appreciate it there are other players who will.

The main issue though is whether the players have faith in the manager. Other teams seem to be able to resign their players without throwing silly money at them, but Arsenal don't seen able to do that.

Whatever the perception Walcott is one of our best players. he doesn't score hatricks every game nor provide assists and is massively involved in every game. However, bar Jack Chezny and Giibs, which of the present bunch of lazy non commital c**ts shows they give a **** and also contribute as much as Theo?

I would say the two that didn't step up were Walcott and Cazorla (even if Walcott almost scored). I do not rate Walcott as a key player but he very well could be if he continues developing. The point is why pay him over the top when he still has loads to prove.

He's vital to this team in that he is about the only one we have who can turn a game. Yes he's no TH14 or DB10 but which one of the current bunch is. He'll be on the going rate which is still way short of what he could earn at the big 3.

He's had his games, as have the team. He is improving, particularly in front of goal.

Bit like saying it doesn't matter if southampton sell their top golascorer or assist maker because they've had a really **** season and it matters not.
