We are in desperate need of a striker. He's scored 16 goals this season. In 2 seasons in la liga he scored 15 goals from midfield in 37 appearances. He's the perfect January signing. He doesn't need time to adapt.

He's a proven goalscorer and on the verge of the Spanish national team, he's only 26 years old. We paid £13m for Giroud in the summer and he wasn't even a regular for France. Just pay £15m for Michu and be done with it. It isn't even big money for a striker. Liverpool just paid £12m for Daniel Sturridge.

Do to Swansea what Man Utd did to us with van Persie. They wanted our best player so paid big money for quality.
