I want us to compete at the very top level. But I don't actually think we are far off doing as best as we can. Top top players are all nabbed by the big money so we are left to sign the scraps or unearth unheard of gems which is becoming harder to do.

If it was really that easy to go out and sign a striker who gets you 20 goals a season no problem, why hasn't every other team in the league done that and already finished many points above us every year?

£985 / 26 = £37.88 per game. Not unreasonable.

Including FA cup games with the ST is one thing we do right.

With all that money and power and you're telling me he couldn't have made it happen by now if he really wanted to throw £700 million away on winning some football matches.

Or he would have given up, sold up and gone and bought another club who would let him play.
