I've never been a big Vermaelen fan, but he's showing no defensive awareness.
The commentator had it right about his yellow card - as a physical cb he should be imposing himself physically controlling his area, not doing pissy cheap fouls in midfield.
Ugh I wouldn't mind Vermaelen being our new 4th choice but we don't have a hope of spending on a CB.
