I remember thinking man, what a great pickup by AW to get Adebayor. The kid really works his arse off.

He really did, for a couple of seasons anyway.

Perhaps one of the most underlooked reasons as to why it all went off the rails was Henry's departure. Not so much his on the pitch exploits, but he really had a knack for making sure thaqt the young players knew their place, that they weren't the world beaters that they thought they were. He maintained the pecking order and let everyone know it was about winning, not the paychecque.

He's going to make a great coach, imo. Which would be rare, usually the best players make the worst coaches.
