How does he suppose Arsenal is to even remain vaguely competitive with the sheiks, if we do not try to maximise our income?

Had we had a sugar daddy pouring billions into the club, then yes, I would agree with him, but we do not. As Citeh inflates wages and transfer fees, their fans have no sympathy from me.

So less desirable games become much cheaper, while the more desirable games, such as Sunday's with City, become even more ludicrously expensive.

as pointed out below, Cat A games got more expensive and Cat C games were introduced at a cheaper rate. So the club is level overall revenue wise but an away fan of a Cat A game (Man City) will notice an increase.

I thought it was 7.

Hard to tell sometimes when you're successful and the club just gives you the seats in that season anyway, price bumped up the following August.
