Trouble is with direct free kicks so few are actually scored but most that are are memorable so people seem to think it is easy

Arteta, Podolski, Vermaelen and Cazorla all seem like better options.

Blasting the ball into the centre of the wall should not be allowed to happen once more this season (by any player). Theo had a free kick near the half way line in the 91st minute of the Southampton game. It didn't even reach the box. Maybe with some practice he will get better but there are better options at the moment.

we won 4-2. My favourite was one against Blackburn (I think) when he hit the free kick with his right foot straight into the wall, it came back to him and he smashed it through the wall with his left into the bottom corner

of ****s would object to Theo taking crossed free kicks.

to be easily cleared by the 1st defender though. As I recall.

of error between clearing and not clearing the first defender.

Injured most of the time but you have a ominous feeling he's about to achieve Cantona- Best like iconic worship over the next couple of seasons. :-(

I do, I mean I suppose it's better than Sanga or Gibbs but I'd much rather have Arteta, Wilshere, Santi or Vermaelen taking them

the left sided ones.

I tend to think if a player wants to take a free kick, and has the confidence to do so, then let him take it.

For us to score from a corner, it needs to be a flat delivery in a very small window of space. Of course lots will hit the first defender.
