Is it yours?

I thought that hoping we lose all our games in January, as he wished in a recent post, is a bit extreme, but for those who desperately want a new manager perhaps they feel that the end justifies the means.

but it is funny that the basis of the blog is on Arsene Wenger wasting money and resources. You only have to look at the money he has generated on player sales over the years.

van Persie, Fabregas, Anelka, Toure, Clichy, blah blah we all know who they are.

LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO OOOOOOOOOO OL

that's brilliant. No point selling the cnut then. Still make a massive loss. Interesting perspective of looking at club finances vs actual skillage on the pitch.

that' my word for today - skillage. pronounced - skill-arge. refers to the performance of skills.

first place but selling them is something you could have done and made profit. Finding those players was brilliant and a skill he appears to have lost several seasons ago.

It was the one thing Arsene never considered.

Before he could get away with cashing in on these guys. Ł23m for Anelka? yeah f**k it. Overmars Ł25m? You want some Petit with that?

But then the big billionaires who don't care about the money rolled into town and it was game over. they were changed the football dynamics Wenger was exploting for so many years.

Sell Anelka...no problems...Get Henry and bit of Davor Suker to keep the fans happy. They'd fkin love me for this. Davor fkin Suker.

Overmars leaves...no problem..splash the cash on Wiltord and Pires. Easy easy.

Now those players are gone...Sold to the Billionaires. He's now got 2 choices....Buy cheaper inferiors than what he's use to and / or buy even younger players and develop thep.

No billlionaire destroyed his once incredible skill to unearth unknown talent. Even billionaire teams dont recruit all available "unknown" talent on mass. He's lost that and hence why we have been left with dross and now recruiting furthur dross in the guise of Gervinho and Santos.

Do you think if a club had a seriously talented player ie a Jack Wilshere but playing for Stoke.

Do you honestly think they would even entertain selling to a club like Arsenal when they have nutcases like City, Chelsea and PSG out there who can now pay triple / quadruple anything we can offer.

The market selection of potential talent that Wenger relied on has gone.

Wenger's best bet is what he's currently doing...take gambles with the older players and accept that sometimes it won't come off and blood a bunch of kids and indoctrinate them in the dark side of the force.

"The newspaper sets in stone the assertion that Wenger sets the pay bands amongst the players with the board “deferring to his judgment”.

"However, it is understood that Wenger, once he is given a budget, sets the pay bands with the board deferring to his judgment."

Spot the subtle difference?

Asked whether he set the wage structure at Arsenal, which has been criticised for having a too narrow band compared to other clubs, Wenger said: “Yes. I don’t know how it works at others. But it’s not only me , it’s in co-operation with the board. When we want to go 'far’ I ask for the authorisation of the board.”

The Tony

Players like him ie Theo and Ox go for Ł10m+ now. Why? because that's what City, Chelsea, United and PSG would pay.

i'd throw United in there...since the glazers took over they could pretty splash the cash how they like. the finance model aint like the other 3 clubs but it gets the job done.

then. now hes been caught up and left behind unfortunately sue to a mixture of the billionaires and the smaller clubs putting in solid infrustructures off the pitch. Unfortunately Spurs is one of them who are benfitting. FFS they even wanted at one time wengers old mate as HOF. again Wenger was brilliant now its time to admit he appears to have lost that and maybe its time to admit it and move on. Listen the performances on the pitch bare witness to how things have changed and his apparent lack of being able to address weaknesses that have been glaringly obvious for seasons.

also we can't attract top players if clubs that are truly ambitious are also interested i.e. city, chelsea, man u. Things arn't right at arsenal and most fans agree, the thing is you are trying to argue with people on here that can see no wrong. I particularly like the :****er: who try to get people banned for having a different opinion or the beauties who like to point out grammar or spelling mistakes as if that makes point's less valid (the i'm far more educated than you so i must be right approach). Wenger presided over a grow at arsenal there is no doubt and took the deserved plaudits, he is now presiding over a decline and has been for some time so i don't see why he should be immune to any flack but then AKB.
