I must have been watching a different game to Wenger, or more likely he was suffering from his usual myopia.
Gibbs was excellent going forward but poor at defending. Kos got him out of trouble a couple of times when he was caught out of position. If he could defend better Gibbs would a great LB , but he can't defend properly and so he is not one, and no amount of bull**** from struggling monsieur Wenger will make him into one.
A bit better coaching might do the trick though.
