feels a little bit uncomfortable with this? As a club we have stuck rigidly, rightly or wrongly, to a pay structure that in the world of business would be applauded as being fair & ensuring harmony within the workplace. Now that we have gone down this slippery road of "caving" in aren't we going to become just another club that whores itself to the mercenaries
of agents & their clients?
I appreciate we are between a rock & a hard place but still...

all figures quoted will need to be ratified by Nic before we can discuss.

Either cave in to the grasping little so-and-so or see yet another decent/useful/rather good player leave - and for nothing this time.

Wal**** has played us like a fiddle, while maintaining a fairly decent PR.

At least we get a transfer fee if we eventually sell him now - hopefully one year before he loses his pace.

hardly as though he has sulked and just said sod it, I'm off on a free

and he's 23, about anothewr 7 years before he loses pace, more likely to gain it

created more goals than anyone in the team over the past three seasons.

He could have left on a free and got a lot more than we're going to be paying him.

I just do not believe he deserves to be the highest paid player at the club. It's his job to score and make goals.

he's going to get 20+ goals this season and frankly, you can't ask for more than that

The same goes for transfer fees. You wouldn't buy a centre half for £80million, but you would buy Ronaldo (well, Real Madrid would) for £80million.

It's tricky. I think the key factor in us looking like we're agreeing is the increase in cash available. The purse strings can be loosened a touch....
