Possibly because we actually gave them a decent game at their place. Is this because Diaby was playing?

You should still look forward to it. A win and things will get much rosier.

Who are looking alarmingly consistant, during this phase.

Possibly the only occasion this season where the Ramsey on the right experiment worked, he then moved in centrally when Abou tired.
Almost as if we were a different team then.

City have no Aguero nor Yaya I believe.

Might have to get Headgear to change the window title at some point. I am not currently a big fan of Theodore Walcock.

He'd be like a new signing.

We would eventually f**k it up around the 6th round so best all round to exit now.

I thought you were a bastion of domestic cuppery.

whilst not playing particularly well and still managing to knock 7 and 5 past two opponents, could be considered evidence that we are better equipped for the second half of the season.

Thing is you just know at some stage around March-April we would have a run of fixtures and team selection for the cup would suffer, so we would exit.
I think we have our hands more than full with the 4th place cup this year.

for the remainder of the season sound ludicrous.

Banging in goals for fun, and being snuffed out by any hard-working bunch of journeymen on a fraction of the salary of our slothful sell-swords.

Possibly three less fixtures in Jan/Feb.

the main contenders are us, Spurs, Everton and (imo) Liverpool.
There's no stand-out candidate there for taking fourth. Even if you consider Spurs as having the better chance, no-one would claim there is much in it between us and them, on balance.

We are still The Arsenal and sometimes teams will yield to us even before Kick Off. Other times they won't and that's when we can hit problems.
