View Full Version : By the way I have changed my stance on Walcott. He gets on my tits

now I have just decided. The cocky little **** was being slagged off in every quarter not so long ago & Wenger stuck with him. He now starts to pull his finger out, now the shop window is open of course. He can't hold the ball up & was the reason our play broke up so much yesterday, he can stick playing as the main striker up his arse, he can stick his £100k up his arse & he can just f**k off for all I care.
5 f**king years I have been behind that tosser!

I like Theo and don't get everyone's issues with him, he's a decent striker and will get better

Why not go and celebrate with the goal scorer?

I think he's a decent-ish striker atm as well. I'm just not enjoying his sudden realisation of self-brilliance (that doesn't even fully exist yet).

Couldn't blame him for losing the ball, in the opening 45.

Don't get me wrong, he had ability, however, he doesn't show for the ball, he can't receive the ball facing his own goal. Unless the ball is played behind the defence, he offers very little threat.

and tried to make things happen but I still really like Theo, certainly rather he stays

there is one team including QPR that would put him in their side

Arrogance is fine as long as it's justifiable.

He simply hasn't done enough.

In the minutes he has spent up top, he has 3 goals which is very good, but his ask round performances, have been poor.

so were everyone of the rest that went on the pitch

He was superb against Newcastle, his runs off and with the ball were first class

I still don't think his best role is as a lone striker but playing alongside Giroud or as an emergency striker I'll be happy with that.

I totally agree that he would be brilliant in a 442, but alone up top, he ports only one option, the ball in behind. For 70 minutes against Newcastle, he was frustrating, the giroud came on and Theo played with freedom.

The main problem for me is this, he cannot hold the ball up, his touch is weak. That means that no one in midfield can break in to forward positions to join him, probably because they are not sure if he will still have the ball. Hence too many moves break down too easily. When we are under pressure, we have no outlet because of Walcott's weakness.
