Can he?

I'm surprised that Theo is being allowed to dictate, tbh.

Unsettled and unhappy squad player potentially a disruptive influence and ineffective.

Would still prefer a fit and firing RvP in our team though when all is said and done :-(

should really be taken to Dover and allowed to walk off the edge of the white cliffs

(stupid 'keep him and make him play his contract out' opinions aside, of course)

he was sold because he was a depreciating asset who we needed to get rid off for the best possible financial compensation. Football had very little to do with it

Spend £200M that we didn't have and offer Man City type wages, which we can't afford, in order to convince him to stay

transfers and wages?

You know, the money in the player trading account which we can spend on players without bankrupting the club.

That money.

Sensible that we choose not to.

Not so sensible that we choose to put a fair few poor signings on such high wages either.

All we know is that the club's total wage bill is £143M and we have a wage structure, that is all.

That money is actually available for transfers and wages and that the board are making it available to Wenger.

Just recently, we had yet another example with Traore.

Redknapp may not be flavour of the month but were his comments on Traore a huge surprise ?

The theory seemed to be based upon paying them a decent wage, in order to prevent them being seized upon so quickly by other clubs.

That obviously has its flaws :-(
