View Full Version : I'm concerned that our four wins in our last four league games will make Arsene think that we don't

need to sign anyone http://www.awimb.com/images/smiley_icons/frown.gif

We'll still get 4th with the current squad but we could also put a cup run together or something with a couple of players.

f**k Ba, btw. I want Henry!

Striker - Henry
Midfielder - Diaby

2 problem positions filled straight away. AND we've already had the October new signing of Wilshire.

What more do you want?

oblige us with a collapse of form and, don't forget, we no longer have a player of RVP's ability to rescue us.

Calling for TH removes any doubt that you're a knob.

We do need strengthening but I can't see Wenger spending and to be fair to him - not many top clubs will look to off-load their better players in January.

I hope we can get rid of ****makh, Squillaci and a few others in January though..

average. So I might look at a decent, European left-back (or that kid at Southamton - Shaw or something).

A defensive midfielder too. Denilson is not acceptable.

these walls. As a defender he is only average. Santos has shown that he really is only here for the ride and the money.
But who is of a good enough quality and would be up for a move to our humble club?

goes tits up, he'll have nowhere to hide.
Right now he's always blaming the players for a poor performance, never himself.

AW has said recently about getting more of a nucleus of British players. I would like to see this, if they are up to the job. It would certainly put some spunk and spirit into the team.

never individual players.

When he says, for example, "we played with the handbrake on" is he not, in effect, blaming their mental approach for the result? Assuming, of course, that he doesn't go in to the dressing room afterwards and say "I know you played with the handbrake on, but don't worry, I know it's not your fault".

That way he gets the same money that he's on now and can still earn half his current wage when we'd have just f**ked him off to be unemployed anyway.

chance of him becoming rather special.

Bear in mind Ashley Cole was considered a defensive liability for his first few seasons as a first team regular.

or his own tactics for a bad result? I can think of less than a handful of occasions during my entire football watching life.

Wenger said after the Bradford result that he is responsible for results http://www.awimb.com/images/smiley_icons/shrug.gif

and am not excited about him going forward - he doesn't run past players, he can't cross, he isn't powerful. And there seems to be a few too many lapses in concentration in the defensive side of his game.

Perhaps he'll turn out to be great and I would be happy to be proved wrong. But for now, I'm out.

Wenger's more softly softly approach was the way forward.

We had better players than Man Utd then though. Perhaps that was what made the difference.

it's very hard to say.

I guess in absence of this knowledge, the most reliable indicator for us is to look at how the players respond on the pitch, and we do seem to have a reasonable team spirit and will to win, given how regularly we respond to bad results with good ones http://www.awimb.com/images/smiley_icons/shrug.gif

two of his most notable attributes when he came on the scene. Now they are both pretty unremarkable.

I notice that happens a lot. Denilson when he first emerged had a superb delivery from deadballs. Then as time went on he became a bit **** at them http://www.awimb.com/images/smiley_icons/shrug.gif
