"Arsenal - the Agony and The Ecstasy" by Ian Castle. A nostalgic journey, through the eyes of a fan, following Arsenal from the late 60s to today.
It is light years ahead of the pretentious Fever Pitch - unreconstructed, authentic, and not up its own Arse...none of this "we all saw the light on that dark day at Hillsborough when those awful terraces were banished forever" mallarky. It's a thorough good read for those of my vintage, and the best present I got at Christmas by a long way.
