I have recently been called a 'republican loon' on here.I have nothing against black folks, gays or religious people.I just dont think the government should be spending money it doesn't have, and when times are tough, i feel spending cuts, rather than new taxes are the way to go.The govt will never have enough money no matter what imo.Do you want us to be like France where 75% is taxed of it's top earners? that is working out well for Belgium! I think there needs to be a mix of sensible spending cuts and fair increase in taxes. It isn't an 'either or' scenario.

High on my list would be the number of military bases around the world and military engagements. Limit these tax havens andt tax loopholes. Invest in education, not make it harder to get assistance for student loans.

I want to ensure the needy are helped to get back on their feet (seing as it was mostly the fat cats from Wall St that caused this ****, and who then got their asses saved), but I'm also a fan of responsibilty with help. I've got no problem with drug checks on welfare recipients for example. Also part of their time should be used to do something productive wherever possible.
