We have offered him xyz a week, he hasn't signed.
We have played him where he wants to play & he still hasn't signed.
He clearly wants more money, we are under pressure not to let another player go but then again you have to consider if the club caves in to his demands then the rest will follow.
A tricky one but to be honest this looks very much like he will be off, probably on a free in the summer, agents fingers in the pie & all that.

money.
On balance he needs to be given that chance because although some fans are supportive of Big Nose and his 'movement ' ( whatever the f**k that means ), he has no real pace and a fondness for row z.
A squad like Wengers is traditionally built around counter attacking with pace.

At some point the revolving door of a rebuilding project has to stop and we actually get a full squad of top quality players who can challenge effectively in the league and win competitions.

Walcott would be a good place to stop and make a statement.

Which I'm sure Arsenal will do either way ie We won't be held to ramsom (well they've could've done that last year when Fabregas demanded to join Barcelona and we only got £30m for him when City would've paid double that) or We're ready to compete against the top teams.

Oh and it a shame you don't understand how movement on the football pitch works.

He's a centre forward and not exactly torn up tree's thus far. He's paid primarily to score goals not simply to put himself about.
7 goals from 24 games, two of which were in the beer cup, would mean that at this stage, the big fella still has a fair bit to do to make his mark.

if it is him wanting 100k and we have offered 75, then give it to him as it must work out cheaper than signing a replacement and losing Theo for nowt

and I'm not speaking about remuneration - which I think is relative in all contract negotiations.

He isn't exactly pulling up tree's is he ? I'd bet the player himself is disappointed at his mid term performance.
It's not definitive by any means but let's meet in the middle and say he still has a fair way to go.

But assuming you mean Giroud. I think it is such a shame that you can judge a player before Christmas in his first season in the PL. I mean Henry had only scored 4 league goals by Christmas in his first season. Did you cast him the same way? Then again if you don't understand movement off the ball in the role of a striker, then it is understandable that you think this way about Giroud.

As long as Giroud has a hole up his arse, he'll never begin to compare. The blokes not even at the races.

But I can't see you putting any real weight behind predicting the outcome in favour of Giroud.
It's an unfair comparison and sort of missses the initial point.

Henry at this point, Giroud comes out on top.
