even if he went for free next summer, it doesn't matter. We'd be competing now for the title, and would be guaranteed a CL place, 20m, fans would be happy, wod bring out best in other players, attract top players. United aren't THAT much better than us, without RVP IMO.

Groups used to be a near formality but look at Utd last year and Chelsea this year. To be fair to City, they had two horrific draws in succession.

we didn't have to risk 20million to keep him, 10 million to top up his wages and we would have almost garaunteed champs lge football but i think rvp wanted to see that the club were ambitious and quite obviously we arn't.
