To have access to guns is f**kin tragic and the primary cause of these events. I'm not against guns per se, but you should have to go through a battery of mental and psych testing before you own one. Let's ignore the fact that this might be because of the very leftist notion that the mentally ill should be "understood" rather than locked up. Sanitarium's were effective until One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest came out and then all of a sudden the mentally ill were 'victims'.

Draw the line between my right to own a gun and this horrific tragedy. Go right ahead, please.

Ask yourself why this happens in places where it is very publicly known that there will be no armed reistance. why don't these deranged folks go to a gun club? It's always a school or, in the case of Aurora, a movie theater that specificly forbids guns.

By now you would think that every school would have had at least a dozen employees armed and well trqained in how to nip these things in the bud. Just the fact that it would be known that they were prepared would thwart future attacks.
